Objective

The objective of Crime Wars is to build up an empire as large as you can and to control as much territory and as much reputation as you possibly can.

Respect & Fear

Depending on what type of role player you are, you will be rewarded reputation points throughout the game. If you are more into friendliness and business deals with violence only when you absolutely must, you will be rewarded with positive reputation. If you play your character with a more violent approach then you will be awarded negative reputation points. Neither is necessarily better, this is just how you are viewed by other players. Both may be used to help you negotiate deals in role plays.

Controlling a City

To control a city, you will need to have a certain level of reputation. "Rep" can be earned from role playing. You may also gain reputation weekly from owning a business.

Organizations

The basic structure of organizations on Crime Wars is based by race, and every race has a commission of it's own. The Commission leader will be determined by the commission itself. The ranks under the commission leader is chosen by the seperate group. The ranks would look like this:

Boss of Bosses
----------|--------
Boss - Boss - Boss
--|-------|--------|
Crew - Crew - Crew

In the end, there will be Italians, Mexicans, Blacks, Columbians, Chinese, Japanese, Europeans, Russians, Cubans, Arabians, Jamaicans; and there will be more cities opening up as the site develops more. Should the Boss of Bosses decide that a crew is not right for the faction, that crew may either select a new boss, merge into a new crew, or split off and go independent.

Conflict

On Crime Wars, struggles between factions will occur frequently. Fights for turf and businesses will break out now and then, but war itself won't shine its face out too often. Usually conflicts should be able to be resolved with a retaliation and a sit down.

Sit-Downs

Every week, the Boss of Bosses from each faction and one other representitive of choice have the chance to attend a sit down with all of the other factions. Staff will announce the next sitdown date right after the current one, so you should always have a week in advance to get what you need together. Most sit downs will occur on a Friday, but acceptions may be made. Should the Boss of Bosses not be able to attend, another representitive may take his place.

There may of course be sit-downs and meeting scheduled by anyone, but at the staff - faction sit-down there is assured no violence. Talk about war, hits, business, problems, propositions, and the like may be posted here without having to worry about being hit.

War

When everything else fails, your Boss of Bosses may declare war on other factions. In war you don't need permissions from staff to do any sort of violent action to said faction during war. This does not mean that if the Chinese are warring with the Russians, the Japanese could take advantage and hit a Russian without permission unless the Japanese enlist in the war.

In order to declare war, your Boss of Bosses must be ready to spend 50 reputation points. War may be fought two versus one, one versus two versus three, six versus two, ect. There is no set faction number.

A war is won by destroying the enemy's HQs. In order to be able to attempt an attack, five other businesses of theirs are needed to come down first. We really support going after businesses so the faction that loses the war doesn't die out from inactivity.

The winner of the war will recieve 500 reputation to each participating member.

Real Estate/HQs/Owning a City

Normal real estate may be placed anywhere you want it to go, though you might want to make sure that if a faction owns the city you're business is in that they are okay with it. Each property may only have five NPCs to guard it.

In order to own an HQ, your faction must own a city as well as the initial costs for the business. Your HQ will get you rep weekly. Each HQ may only have five NPCs to guard it.

In order to own a city, you will need to spend 5,000 "rep" points. I know this is a lot to ask for, but people need to realize that cities can be shared, and only the really respected organizations are going to have these cities claimed. If you want to take over a city, you may do so by declaring war. Each city may only have ten NPCs to patrol.

Random Events

Unlike other games, Random Events here are completely optional and are only posted to benefit you. They will also help two factions interact against each other. Events will mostly be NPC crews warring with each other, both of different races. Should you choose to help your race, if you win the war, the crew will become a part of your faction, along with the line of illegal business (or legal, for that matter) that the organization was into.

So if you help the NPC crew specializing in a hotel line by eliminating their targets, you inherit the line of hotels and the NPC crew.

NPCs

As far as NPCs go, you may only have up to 20 personal NPCs. You may have as many staff as you want to manage your businesses, and you may also have the set limit for thugs/security at any business on top of your twenty. The reason for this is so there is more PC interaction and less hiding behind NPCs (not to criticize the way some players may play).

PC Violence

At one point or another, you're probably going to want to off someone, take or destroy thier business, or kidnap them. For each of them you should take your time to make it good so it can be approved. The person hit has twenty four hours to defend the hit in any way they can. If it is allowed the attacker may counter the defence, and they have six hours from when the staffer gives the okay.

(During a war, the defence/counter times are reduced by half)

Permissions are simple: Just get approval from one staffer, no matter what rank of the person you want to hit. Support with an IC reason, IC knowledge they exist, and realize that if you hit someone too powerful it could spark a war.
